Ok, so what exactly are we all looking at here?
In Japan, making food art from sausage is kind of a thing. Lots of kids' bento box school lunches will feature Tako-san (Mr. Squid) carved sausage sculpturettes, or possibly sausage men with sesame seeds for eyes. This gashapon set celebrates Tako-san and Sausage Man, and also features fellow lunchbox staple Apple Slice Bunny plus a white chicken and a small yellow hatchling chicken, because why not.
Each gasha comes with an attached thread loop perfect for hanging these from backpacks, purses, phones, wallets, trees...
These guys are made by Japanese gashapon manufacturer Epoch, a Tanoshii Miami favorite, which is known for its fun, quirky, unusual gashapon.
Since the Tako-san toys are a bit bigger in size than our other gasha, we won't include a capsule with these.
