Japanese gifts, toys, collectibles, + more  |  © 2019 Tanoshii Miami

Tanoshii Miami is a labor of love for its two founders, who traveled to Japan in 2016 and still haven't managed to shut up about their trip, stop watching NHK, or try to recreate the transcendent okonomiyaki they ate in Osaka.

It was especially difficult for Sylvia to find out that the ridiculously cute, quirky arcade toys, gashapon, and collectibles she obsessed over in Tokyo's Akihabara neighborhood and in Osaka's Nipponbashi were virtually impossible to find outside of UFO catchers, gashapon machines, and arcades, much less outside of Japan.  From that initial dismay, a lightbulb moment emerged: Why not import these products from Japan and share them with other kawaii-deprived North Americans (and beyond)?

And so, Tanoshii Miami was born.

We're your source for Japanese and Japanese-inspired arcade toys, gashapon, art toys, collectibles, and accessories outside of Japan.

We may not be able to bring you purikura booths, UFO catchers, or vending machines (yet), but we'll do our best to create a virtual arcade experience for you, and to make it tanoshii!

We curate our capsule collections very carefully to offer you the very latest, seasonally-available merch from our partners, most of which are located in Japan.  Our quantities are very limited to give us the opportunity to highlight each product, give you a little background and context, and really let it shine.  Quality over quantity every time, right?

We're based in Miami, Florida, USA, and expect to bring a bit of subtropical flair to our biz ops, too.  Look out for collaborations with our likeminded local artist friends in the not-too-distant future!
